First Friday: Your Small Business Resource

In this workshop, we'll identify and practice a few simple techniques that have the potential to transform your business. These techniques requre intentional practice and continual application in order to help you understand who your consumers are, what their specific needs are, and what you can do to take a good idea and turn it into a great one that makes a lasting impression with your consumers.

Chrystal is a Consumer Experience & Innovation Consultant at Sharecare, a local health & wellness provider located in Franklin. She uses design thinking to solve complex business problems as well as advocate for the consumer during product improvements. To keep her creativity and design thinking skills sharp she regularly attends (and sometimes co-facilitates) Caffy Hour. 
Chrystal and her husband Chris live in Brentwood with their 2-year-old daughter, Audrey. 



Tony Threatt

Vanderbilt University Medical Center

Tony Threatt is a designer and product manager at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Over the past four years, he has worked to bring a more human-centered culture to VUMC and the technology solutions he has helped to design. In the past year, Tony has led a variety of mobile teams to develop a patient portal, a schedule and messaging app, and a task management and employee engagement app. Tony also co-facilitates Caffy Hour, a design thinking meet-up, each month. Tony and his wife Melissa have two children, Lillian (5) and Miles (3).
