Tuesday, May 20
11:30 am - 1 pm
The Factory, Jamison Hall
230 Franklin Road, Franklin
Topic: "Technology Growth in Williamson County"
Panel Moderator: Bryan Huddleston, President & CEO, Nashville Technology Council
Bryan serves as president and CEO of the Nashville Technology Council (NTC). The mission of the NTC is simple: to develop, connect and promote the Middle Tennessee technology community. The Technology Council serves to provide relationships, resources, advocacy and visibility to its 400 individual, business and institutional members. Its vision is to have a growing and vibrant regional economy because of technology companies and individuals.
Panelists:
Stephen Franklin, CTO & Co-Founder, LeanKit
Stephen earned his stripes in Lean/Kanban while leading development teams as a Domain Architect at Healthtrust Purchasing Group and Chief Software Architect at eDoc4u. After earning degrees in Building Science and Information Systems from Auburn University, Stephen has spent his career leading many successful projects with international and outsourced development teams. Stephen shares the vision for "the future of work" and leads both the product development and IT organizations at LeanKit.
Rob Bellenfant, CEO, TechnologyAdvice
Rob is a serial entrepreneur and investor. In fact, there is a good chance that Rob is either inventing, developing or pulling the trigger on a new business venture right now. He has started six successful businesses (and even more unsuccessful ones) in the past 14 years. In addition to his role as CEO, Rob still makes time every day to challenge the team to expand its thinking and be open to change. Outside of the office, Rob spends his time with his wife, Jackie, their son and daughter and a household filled with pets.
Jake Fagan, President & Co-Founder, Caddis
Jake loves to build things, especially companies. As a freewheeling entrepreneur, he can't help but look at situations as a chance to take a project or startup from start to finish. Strategy is where Jake hangs his hat and he enjoys nothing more than listening to a company's goals and delivering a great product that positions a company to win. When not running Caddis from the hip office space in the Franklin Factory, you can find Jake meeting with other businesses at the Entrepreneur Center, in the woods dressed in camouflage or at home with his wife, Sammy.
