Featuring: Ken McLawhon, Town Administrator, City of Nolensville
Ken McLawhon was named Nolensville's first town administrator in October 2014. He has worked in government for over three decades, beginning in 1976 as legal services chief/sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. In 1987 he began learning facets of municipal administration in the town of West Point, Virginia. Most recently, McLawhon was Town Manager for the town of Warrenton, Virginia, managing day to day government operations and services for the historic town of 4.2 square miles and 10,000 citizens in an upscale suburban setting.
McLawhon officially started his position in Nolensville on Jan. 5, and after a few weeks he says he's starting to get acclimated to both the community and the job. He is responsible for enforcing all ordinances and regulations, implementing new and more efficient methods of operations and making recommendations for improving the quality and quantity of public services, among other items.
McLawhon lives in Nolensville with his wife, Susy, daughter, Alexandra, and dog, Maxwell.
