Topic: The Vision for Nolensville's New Schools
In less than a year, Williamson County Schools' three newest schools--Nolensville High, Mill Creek Middle and Mill Creek Elementary--will open in Nolensville for the 2016-17 school year.
Williamson, Inc. President and CEO Matt Largen will lead a panel discussion with two of the three newly appointed principals: Bill Harlin (Nolensville High) and Kari Miller (Mill Creek Middle). Also serving on the panel will be WCS Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools Denise Goodwin. Questions for the panel will be centered on the vision each principal will have for their respective schools.
During the luncheon, the principals will be presented with a check donation from the Williamson County Chamber Foundation on behalf of the former Nolensville Chamber of Commerce, which was grandfathered into the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce after the county-wide unification of three chambers in 2013. All three schools will receive the Nolensville Chamber of Commerce's remaining operating funds, which amount to $14,000. The elementary and middle schools will receive $3,000 each, and the high school will receive $8,000.
Located at 1600 Summerlyn Drive, Mill Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Middle and Nolensville High will all share a campus. Mill Creek Elementary will serve students in grades K-5, Mill Creek Middle will serve students in grades 6-8 and Nolensville High will serve students in grades 9-10 in its first year.
