Alicia Lowry Lewis holds bachelor’s degrees in English literature and journalism and is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She enjoys working with individuals, families, and groups. Her interests include family and relationship issues, spiritual issues and abuse, codependency, power and control in relationships, early adulthood, divorce adjustment, identity issues, parenting, and leadership. Alicia utilizes Family Systems, EMDR (Level II), the Spiritual Root System, the Enneagram, and elements of spiritual direction in her practice.

Her desire is to walk with clients toward health by exploring their story to uncover themes, shaping beliefs, and coping strategies that leave us with a life that just isn’t working. Since relational healing takes place in relationship, she strives to create a safe place for clients to process, grow, be challenged, make personal and relational discoveries, and move toward healing, wholeness, and freedom.

Alicia has previously worked with Daystar Counseling Ministries, YMCA's Restore Ministries, and Integrity House, and has maintained a private practice since 2009. In addition, she currently practices at The Refuge Center for Counseling in Franklin and is pursuing AAMFT approval as a supervisor. As of July, Alicia has two adult children.
