"Golf Balls and Lemonade: How I Learned to Be a Missional Entrepreneur"
Featuring: Rob Touchstone, Co-Founder, The Well Coffeehouse, and Director of Missional Entrepreneurship, Lipscomb University
Come hear Rob share his unexpected journey from selling golf balls and lemonade to co-founding a coffeehouse with a mission in Nashville. The Well Coffeehouse began with extremely limited funds and almost no experience, but in only two years has opened two locations, generating over a million dollars in total annual revenue with profits being given away to local and global needs. Rob will seek to inspire young, aspiring entrepreneurs to think missionally by sharing from his own experience about what it means to bring together business and mission.
About Rob:
Rob learned to be an entrepreneur while finding and selling golf balls as a kid growing up near a golf course in Marietta, GA. He has a passion for the marginalized and impoverished and believes that one of the most effective ways to address local and global needs is through business as a mission.
Rob wrote the vision for and co-founded The Well Coffeehouse in 2012 as a social enterprise that turns profits for those in need. Rob is the Director of Missional Entrepreneurship at Lipscomb University where he teaches and mentors students to think about business as mission. Rob planted and leads Well House, a missional network of churches that gather in The Well Coffeehouse each week. Rob earned a Masters of Divinity from Lipscomb University and served students for 16 years as a youth minister. His greatest blessing is his family; he is happily married to Aimee, and they have three children, Anna, John Mark and Mary Ann.
