Rob Mortensen is a senior consultant with Civilis Strategies. Most recently, Rob served as the Chief Executive Officer of Camelot Care Centers, Inc., a statewide foster care services agency where he was responsible for company growth, management and leadership.
Rob moved to Nashville in 1986 to attend Lipscomb University where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science. He subsequently earned a master's degree in international relations and politics from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville. During his time in both cities, he grew to love the state of Tennessee and decided to stay.
His first role after completing his master's degree was with The Ingram Group, where Rob served clients throughout Tennessee. SSeveral years later, he followed his entrepreneurial instincts by building a successful home management company. His desire to get back to his first love - politics - led him to accept a postition as Legislative Director at Tennessee Alliance for Children and Families. This position allowed him to be deeply involved with children's issues in the state. From there, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Camelot Care Centers, Inc., for more than 7 years.
Through his various roles with nonprofit and legislative groups, Rob has worked tirelessly on behalf of children in state custody, foster care, and those who have aged out of the system.
Rob and his wife, Lisa, have been married for 26 years and have 3 children - Meg, Clay and Dane. The family enjoys camping and traveling together and are active, long-time members at Hillsboro Church of Christ
