Born, raised, educated and officially retired in Los Angeles, it was a great adventure to relocate to Middle Tennessee in 2012. After a 45 year career with NASA at Jet Propulsion Lab (a division of CalTech) and knowing that I would fail at retirement, I immediately transferred my Kiwanis membership to Nashville and multiple other clubs to stay active in improving the lives of children and families and the welfare of communities. Being invited by a Kiwanian to serve on the board (now president and CEO) of Children's Kindness Network has enhanced my personal mission and life goals.
Past pursuits have also included teaching middle school math, owning and managing a bookstore and a computer store, selling encyclopedias, and engaging in fund development and grant writing for various nonprofits, churches and schools.
